According to the planning of economic - social development of Binh Dinh Province approved by the Prime Minister, there will be 8 industrial zones in the province in 2020 (not including the industrial zones in Nhon Hoi EZ) with a total planning area of 1,961 ha, including Phu Tai IZ, Quy Nhon (345 ha), Long My IZ, Quy Nhon (120 ha), Nhon Hoa IZ, An Nhon (320 ha), Hoa Hoi IZ, Phu Cat (340 ha), Binh Nghi IZ, Tay Son (228 ha), Cat Trinh IZ, Phu Cat (368 ha), Bong Son IZ, Hoai Nhon (120 ha) and Long Binh IZ, Van Canh (120 ha). Those IZ will have an geographic location very convenient for transit of goods and products between Highlands, the expanded GMS countries and Quy Nhon Port, Nhon Hoi EZ and the South Central provinces (because they will be located on Highway 19 - which is the new East-West corridor and is associated with Highway 1A).
- The investment in Phu Tai and Long My IZs has been basically completed with necessary infrastructure for attracting investors.
- Nhon Hoa IZ has been invested in infrastructure and attracted the use of 116 ha for phase 1.
- Cat Trinh IZ has been planned in details and its site clearance and compensation are being implemented.
- Hoa Hoi IZ has been planned in details and is calling for investment in infrastructure of the IZ.
- Binh Nghi IZ has been issued policies to assign investors to prepare its detailed planning for investment.
- The mobilization for infrastructure investment in Bong Song and Binh Long IZs is under deployment.
