BINH DINH PROVINCE INVESTMENT PROMOTION CONFERENCE IN 2024

With the opening speech at the Conference, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee said that in the series of events of Binh Dinh sports, culture and tourism week (Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024), Binh Dinh hold the 2024 Investment Promotion Conference. This was an important event to gradually realize the Binh Dinh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and also, to gradually take Binh Dinh closer to investors and businesses to together turn potentials, strengths and ideas into reality and to share, to cooperate, and to develop faster and more sustainably in the future. According to Mr. Chairman, the goal set by the Province was that, by 2030, Binh Dinh would try to become a developed province in the leading group of the North Central and Central Coast regions, to become an center of industrial manufacturing, tourism services and culture in the South of the Region, to become the country's major center for marine economic development and to become a key national and international tourism center. Then, the provincial economy would develop faster, more sustainably and greener basing on five growth pillars: industry, high-tech agriculture, tourism services, seaports and logistics, and urbanization. In addition, Binh Dinh Province would focus on developing the green economy, digital economy, circular economy and marine economy in order to successfully implement the goals of digital transformation, innovation and strongly improving the investment and business environment and to become an attractive destination for large domestic and foreign investors and businesses. Binh Dinh provincial competitiveness index (PCI) would be among the highest provinces in Vietnam. Mr. Pham Anh Tuan emphasized the provincial viewpoint of constantly improving and enhancing the quality of the investment and business environment in order to make Binh Dinh an ideal destination for domestic and foreign investors.
When investing in Binh Dinh, businesses and investors would be committed to have the most favorable conditions to successfully implement their projects and to sustainably develop their projects. First, Binh Dinh committed that investors would receive the highest incentives according to the Government's regulations on land tax, corporate income tax and import tax when investing in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (NEZ) and some of The Provincial IPs. Investors would enjoy complete infrastructure of electricity, water, transportation, telecommunications... to the project area. Binh Dinh committed that investors would have their problems resolved as quickly as possible via the hotline of Mr. Chairman’s the special working group of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee with online processing method as soon as receiving information or regular face-to-face meetings every Monday morning chaired by the Chairman. Moreover, for larger and more complicated issues, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee would directly report and seek opinions from the Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, consult and confer with the Standing Leaders of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee or seek opinions from the Standing Committee of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee and Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council to unify the leadership policy in time, to direct the administration, to completely handle the work and to promptly remove problems, difficulties and disadvantages for investors.

At The Conference, Mr. Bader Almatrooshi, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Vietnam, shared about the idea of introduction linking potential UAE businesses and investors to Binh Dinh Province for investment cooperation opportunities in the near future. According to Mr. Ambassador, UAE had been Vietnam's largest trading partner in the Middle East Region. With the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two sides, the trade turnover between the two countries would far exceed the current figure of USD 08 billion. Beside trade and investment, the two sides determined the importance of diversifying relations and opening new potentials. In 2023, there were more than 50 exchanging and working delegations between the two countries in many fields, such as politics, economics, sports, culture, sustainable development, security, tourism and expert exchange. Mr. Ambassador also congratulated Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee for very professionally organizing the races of Aquabike Grand Prix 2024 and UIM F1H2O World Championship Grand Prix 2024.

Also at the Conference, Dr. Tran Du Lich - Member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council analyzed Binh Dinh's advantages, development potential and suggested cooperation opportunities for investors. Vietnam Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, some experts and investors also analyzed and evaluated Binh Dinh Provincial development potentials and advantages, suggested opportunities for investment cooperation in Binh Dinh Province and some factors that foreign investors were interested in Vietnam in general and Binh Dinh in particular and promoted digital transformation in attracting investment as well as socio-economic development.
