JAPANESE PARTNERS WORKING WITH BINH DINH LEADERS FOR SEARCHING INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY IN NEZ

In the afternoon of February 26th 2025, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung – Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council had a met and worked with the Working Group of Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai and Toyoitec Vietnam Company led by Mr. Kato Hirosuke – Chief Director of Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai, who came to visit and work in Binh Dinh Province. Japanese attendants were included Mr. Okamoto Hideki – Head of Innovation Development Department of Toyoitec Corporation (Japan) and Mr. Yamauchi Yutaka – Executive General Director of Toyoitec Vietnam Co., Ltd. Binh Dinh Provincial attendants were included leaders of some departments and Binh Dinh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA).

At the meeting, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung – Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council thanked Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai for supporting and cooperating with Binh Dinh Province in the past time. Since signing the Memorandum of Understanding, Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai had become a close, intimate and important partner of Binh Dinh Province, introducing to the province many potential Japanese enterprises, investors and partners to survey, register for investment and implement projects in Binh Dinh. Currently, under the authority of BEZA, there were 07 Japanese projects with total investment capital of USD 67.4 million on the total area of 80.74 hectares in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (NEZ) and Binh Dinh Provincial IPs. Mr. Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee hoped that through this visit and working session, Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai would contribute to promoting and further strengthening the friendly and cooperative relationship between Binh Dinh Province and Japanese localities and partners.

Mr. Kato Hirosuke – Chief Director of Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai said that the Association had to continuously try to connect a number of potential corporations and enterprises to Binh Dinh to search and promote investment projects. In order to make the cooperation and trade promotion between Binh Dinh Province and Japanese partners more effective, Mr. Kato Hirosuke wanted to continue to receive attention and facilitation from Binh Dinh Provincial Leaders and also hoped that Binh Dinh would have more suitable preferential policies to attract more Japanese enterprises who came to search for investment opportunities in the province in the coming time.

Talking with Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Kato Hirosuke – Chief Director of Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai let us know that, to implement the Memorandum of Understanding signed at the end of 2024, through the introduction of the Association, Toyoitec Vietnam Co., Ltd. wanted to come to search for investment opportunities in Binh Dinh. With this meeting, the Company wished to survey the conditions of land, traffic infrastructure, logistics, technical workers, investment environment to have more information and investment opportunities to an IP of Binh Dinh Province.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee showed that Binh Dinh was currently promoting investment attraction in the field of high technology science in current industrial parks with full clean land, infrastructure and utilities. Mr. Chairman solidly affirmed that if the Investors were determined to invest in Binh Dinh, at the Investment Promotion Conference, scheduled to be held by the Province at the end of this March, the two sides would sign a Memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation or Binh Dinh would issue an Investment Registration Certificate for the Project registered by Toyoitec.

In the next morning, on February 27th 2025, Japanese Partners had taken a survey to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial - Urban and Service Area. With total area of 1,374 hectares, in which Becamex IP covered on area of 1,000 hectares, this huge industrial park ensured area for all investors including Japanese investors to set up projects here. Up till now, Becamex IP had attracted 05 high-tech FDI projects with a total capital of USD 177.3 million on IP area of 48 hectares. The IP infrastructure investor committed to ensuring the area for Japanese investors to set up the project and BEZA would support all the necessary administrative procedures related to the project with the mechanism of “one-stop-shop”.
