BINH DINH LEADERS WORKING WITH KOREAN ENTERPRISES
In the afternoon of July 19th 2024, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee hold a working session with Korean enterprises who came to search for investment cooperation opportunities with The Province under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh – Standing Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee. The attendants from the Korean side were Mr. Kim Jung Ryool – Chairman of Zenith Group; Mr. Nguyen Van Huynh – Deputy Director of Zenith Vietnam; Mr. Lee Dong Hyun – Director of real estate developing projects (industrial parks, resorts) of Projectick Plus Company; Mr. Hong Gil Cho – Manager of P&G Tech Company of providing network security solutions, providing servers and supporting investment in developing data centers and Mr. Pham Khac Tuyen – Commercial Counselor of Vietnam Trade Office in Korea. The attendants from Binh Dinh provincial side were Leaders of Foreign Affairs Department, Planning and Investment Department, Industry and Trade Department, Tourism Department, Construction Department, Information and Communications Department, Leaders of the Office of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, Saigon Telecommunications Technology Joint Stock Company (SAIGONTEL) and Leaders of Binh Dinh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA).
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh – Standing Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee informed Korean enterprises about the provincial socio-economic development situation in recent times and its developing orientation in the near future. Currently in Binh Dinh Province, there are 04 projects of Korean enterprises registered to invest with a total investment capital of USD 96.7 million, 03 of them were projects in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (NEZ) and Binh Dinh Provincial IPs with total investment capital of USD 95.2 million. Binh Dinh Provincial total export turnover to Korea in 2023 reached over USD 45.77 million, and in the first 06 months of 2024 reached over USD 10.9 million. The Provincial total import turnover from Korea in 2023 reached USD 9.5 USD, and in the first 06 months of 2024 reached over USD 06 million. With the above results, the Korean enterprises expressed their impression of Binh Dinh Provincial socio-economic development in recent years and discussed on the fields where they had strengths and needed to search for investment in The Province, such as: manufacturing and trading of construction materials, in-door furniture, architecture, logistics, FNB, large-scale event organizing, real estate developing projects, providing network security solutions, supporting and investing data center development.
Mr. Standing Deputy Chairman also let us know that the above Korean strong fields of Korean enterprises were consistent with Binh Dinh Provincial investment attraction orientation. Binh Dinh wanted to form an industrial park (IP) of Korean businesses as infrastructure investors to attract Korean investors in carrying out their production and business, forming an entertainment center and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea, Korean goods retail centers, software production centers, big data centers in Binh Dinh Province encouraging air flights connecting Binh Dinh – Korea. Besides, in Binh Dinh Province, there were many IPs with full technical infrastructure where Korean enterprises would carry out their project in shortest time. BEZA would support all the investors including Korean Investors in case of setting up the projects in NEZ and Provincial IPs. With the slogans of "Always accompany with businesses", "The success of businesses is also the success of the Province", Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh – Standing Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee committed that Binh Dinh Provincial Leaders would always care and cooperate and create favorable conditions for all enterprises to make long-term investments in Binh Dinh Province. And also, he expressed the desire that further cooperation and development after this meeting would be turned into reality in order that more and more Korean investors would come to search for opportunities and choose Binh Dinh to execute their projects.
