BINH DINH LEADERS WORKING WITH CANADA PARTNERS ON PROJECTS IN NHON HOI ECONOMIC ZONE (NEZ)
In the morning of February 25th 2025, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Canadian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, British Columbia Office in Vietnam and Gene Bio Medical Company (GBM), a leading Canadian biotechnology enterprise. Attending the meeting were also the leaders of Binh Dinh Provincial departments, including Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Health, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Construction, Binh Dinh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) and Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical - Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company (BidiPhar).
At the meeting, GBM Representative gave an overview of the Company. GBM is a leading biotechnology company in British Columbia, Canada, specializing in molecular diagnostics and providing innovative medical solutions. GBM had a proven track record in providing high-quality diagnostic solutions, including the distribution of more than 48 million SARS-Covi-2 rapid test kits during the Covid-19 pandemic. GBM had distributed to 4,900 independent pharmacies and hospitals in Canada. The Company was currently continuing to research and to take steps to bring to market products of international quality, especially on products related to the respiratory disease chain. In particular, the Company cooperated with leading Canadian universities and integrated AI-driven solutions to improve the accuracy and scalability of diagnosis. In its development direction, GBM planned to cooperate with BidiPhar, a top 4 pharmaceutical company in Vietnam. Accordingly, the two sides would coordinate to implement the project of building a modern production facility to produce high-quality diagnostic test kits using Canadian technology. With a total investment of 10 to 20 million USD, the project would be a production facility in Nhon Hoi Industrial Park (Park A) of NEZ in Binh Dinh Province to supply the Vietnamese market and export to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and North America. This would be a strategic medical project for future pandemic response scenarios and to address emerging global health challenges. The two sides planned to list on the US Nasdaq and the Vietnamese stock exchange after 05 years.
Mr. Lam Hai Giang - Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee acknowledged GBM Company's goodwill in investing and said that GBM and BidiPhar had quite similar development strategies with the above Project. At the moment, BidiPhar was carrying out 04 high-tech pharmaceutical projects in Park A of NEZ with total investment capital of VNĐ 1,720 on the area of 10 hectares. Mr. Deputy Chairman solidly affirmed that Binh Dinh Province would create the most favorable conditions for Canadian investors to fulfill the purposes of the Project which would soon be operated in NEZ.
Also at the meeting program, Leaders of GBM and BidiPhar had signed a Memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation of the above projects.
