Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Working with Thailand Ambassador and Consul General in Vietnam

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee and Director of BEZA affirmed the relationship of strategic partners between Vietnam and Thailand. This was recorded in commercial trade relationship, Thailand was the first commercial partner of Vietnam in ASEAN. The relationship between Binh Dinh Province and Thai local regions was expressed in investment promotion information exchange in order to attract more Thai investors to the province. Therefor, many investors from Thailand had come and searched for investment opportunities in Binh Dinh Province. However, Thailand has only 06 projects in Binh Dinh Province with total investment capital of about USD 55.39 million of which there were 04 Thai projects under the authority of BEZA with total investment capital of USD 54.62 million and on total area of 22.27 hectares spreading at Nhon Hoa IP (02 projects), Long My IP and Phu Tai IP.
Mr. Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee and Director of BEZA introduced the provincial strong points in industrial field, especially the prospect from Becamex - Binh Dinh Industrial Parks (IPs), New City and Service Areas, from the guideline in tourism fields and potential development in agriculture fields. He also kindly requested the attention of Mr. Thailand Ambassador in Vietnam and Mr. Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City in assistance and connection with Thai local region and investors in commercial relationship activities and investment to Binh Dinh Province, especially in three main fields: Industry – investing to Provincial IPs and manufacture, Agriculture – processing maritime products and Tourism.
Mr. Tanee Sangrat – Thai Ambassador in Vietnam was impressed by Binh Dinh Provincial fast development in tourism and cities. Mr. Ambassador really wanted to more develop the commercial and investment relationship between Vietnam and Thailand and between Binh Dinh Province and Thai local authority regions and companies. The next day, on July 28th 2020, Thai Ambassador and his retinue would take part in grand opening ceremony of a Thai Company in Phu Tai IP named CPPC Outdoor Wear Vietnam Co,. Ltd for its producing line fulfillment of free surgical mask serving public. This was really meaningful when there were returning signals of Covid-19 Virus late 2020.
