GERMAN KURZ’S PROJECT GROUND-BREAKING CEREMONY IN BECAMEX VSIP BINH DINH, VIET NAM

The Kurz Hi-Tech Hot Stamping Foils Factory officially has total investment capital of about USD 40 million. In the first phase of the project, the output capacity would expectedly be 15 million m2 of products per year in the third quarter of 2023. Then, depending on the operation situation in Vietnam, the total investment capital of the project will be raised up to USD 100 million within from 10 years to 15 years. The factory will be built and put into operation basing on all international standard processes and modern technology, ensuring strict standards of environmental protection and occupational safety as the same as the 12 current factories of The Group in Europe, Asia and America. With the mission of bringing unique in each product, the purpose of Kurz Group when investing the factory in Binh Dinh is to provide top quality decorative products and surface protection to serve the needs of customers in automotive chain production, home electronics and many other industries. Together with the ones in Malaysia and China, the new factory in Binh Dinh will help strengthen the influence of the Kurz Group in Asia, enabling KURZ to actively participate in the growing market in the South East Asia as well as to satisfy the worldwide market demands with high quality products designed, developed and manufactured by KURZ. In operation, the Factory would attract 150 job positions of highly qualification in production, management and technology, help them to have a long-term career as highly skilled and specialized workers of chemist and engineers in managing and developing local supporting industries in Binh Dinh Province. Kurz Vietnam Co., Ltd decided to invest in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park because of its trust.

According to Dr. Cosima Jasmin Freiin Von Salis-Soglio, General Director of Kurz Vietnam, KURZ had seen the advantage of geographical location in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park. As we all know, there are seaways, airways, railways and landways in here together with a system of genral hospitals and luxury hotels. In addition, Binh Dinh have 03 famous universities and Quy Nhon College of Engineering and Technology and a system of vocational training centers where can supply skilled technology experts for Kurz Company. Besides, The Trademark of Becamex and VSIP is extremly famous in Vietnam. Its chains of industrial parks are filled with reputable investors from over the world. As a pioneer investor, KURZ is a live example for other investors to follow its steps. One of the top priorities of KURZ is to ensure that the construction will be completed by the end of 2022. Along with that defined plan, the installation of machinery and equipment also needed completing by the third quarter of 2023. At the same time, KURZ would employ technical experts and skilled workers and send them to Germany for training in order to carry out their job positions in the future.

With the same idea with Madam General Director of Kurz Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Van Lang, General Director of Becamex Binh Dinh also let us know that the event meant a lot to Becamex as an industrial park infrastructure investor. Besides, it also marked a great significance for the local area, for Binh Dinh Province and for secondary investors because it meant that they were gradually moving their investment to the South Central Vietnam. This very first step was meaningful counted because of the first investor from Europe to Becamex - VSIP IP and to Binh Dinh Province. Today's event, for me in the role of Consul General and Representative of the Embassy, is an event of special significance for two reasons. The first reason is that it marks a meaningful points in the friendship cooperation development between Vietnam and Germany in economy; The second reason is that I have seen the strong development of Binh Dinh Province and the sincerity of the Provincial people. I also hope that in the future, many German investors will find Binh Dinh as a place with a lot of potential to implement investment projects here.

With the speech at the Ground-Breaking Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh – Standing Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee and Director of BEZA told that in 2018, Binh Dinh Province and Leipzig City in German Sachsen State signed a Friendship Cooperation Agreement to build a cooperative relationship between the two areas. Up till now, Binh Dinh has got 03 ODA projects from Germany with a total investment capital of over USD 13 million. Basing on that good cooperation relationship, with the pioneering idea of Kurz Group, after searching more than 10 provinces and 20 industrial parks in Vietnam, Kurz Group decided to choose Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park to execute their project. This showed the deep and precious sentiment of Kurz Group for our Binh Dinh Province. Also, it proved that our outstanding improvements and progress in the positive investment environment in Binh Dinh had attracted more and more investors, meanwhile Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park was expected to meet the most complete, best service and conditions for investors' activities.

Mr. Standing Chairman requested BEZA to closely coordinate with other provincial departments and The People's Committee of Van Canh District to create all favorable conditions for KURZ to carry out their Project in accordance with the Law of Vietnam. To Becamex Binh Dinh, he ordered the Investor of Industrial Park Infrastructure to urgently complete and provide full utilities of infrastructure services, creating best conditions for the Project to be operated. He also ordered Kurz Vietnam to fully prepare the necessary conditions of human resources, equipment and vehicles in order to speed up the construction progress with good quality, safety and efficiency. He also expressed his thanks to Dr. Josefine Wallat – German Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam and German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam who always paid great close attention and support to the Kurz Project and Binh Dinh Province in order to receive the good today achievements. He hoped to get more precious affections for further traditional good relationship with Binh Dinh Province. Accordingly,  we see many large-scale and high-quality projects of enterprises from Germany to come to Binh Dinh Province in the future.
 
On the occasion of Kurz Vietnam Factory Ground-Breaking Ceremony  Kurz Vietnam donated Van Canh District with VNĐ 700 million to support the construction of 08 gratitude houses and 01 fairy-garden for Kindergarten in Canh Hiep commune, raising the total amount of donation support of Kurz Vietnam for Van Canh District to VNĐ 1.1 billion to build 16 gratitude houses and 01 kindergarten. At th esame time, New CC Construction Consultant Co.Ltd., that is the construction contractor of Kurz Vietnam Factory also supported VNĐ 200 million for Van Canh District to carry out its local social security work.
