BINH DINH WELCOMING ITALIAN ENTERPRISES

At the reception, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure to welcome Italian businesses who paid attention to Binh Dinh province, and said that within the government visit program to the Republic of Italy of the President of the Socialist and Republic of Vietnam, Binh Dinh Province and H2O Racing Company signed a memorandum of cooperation to organize an international professional high-speed motorboat racing tournament at Thi Nai lagoon in Quy Nhon City in the summer of 2024. Mr. Chairman also said that, with the goal of becoming a developed province in the leading group of Central Vietnam by the year 2030, Binh Dinh Provincial economy would develop faster, more sustainably and greener based on the growth pillars: processing and manufacturing industry, tourism services, logistics and transportation, high-tech agriculture and quick urbanization. All sector development would take the principle of sustainable development as a top priority. With further vision, by the year 2050, Binh Dinh would try to be in the leading group in Central region with higher GRDP per capita and urbanization rate than the national average, to be a scientific and technology center with innovation, to be a place with important application of artificial intelligence (AI) in Vietnam and sustainable economic development based on processing and manufacturing industry, information technology industry and AI, high-quality tourism, organic agriculture and efficient logistics systems.

Mr. Chairman let us know that after the period of focusing on investing and completing technical and social infrastructure, especially the connecting transportation system to all provincial IPs, Binh Dinh Province is now promoting investment attraction. With the advantages of well-planned IPs (such as Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh IP with total area of 1,000 hectares), site clearance with large ready area along with planning for city economic development and coastal tourism, Binh Dinh Province is ready to welcome all investors and businesses from all over the world, including investors from Italy. Binh Dinh Province is prioritizing in calling for and attracting investment based on growth pillars, included processing and manufacturing industry, tourism services, logistics and transportation, high-tech agriculture, and urbanization. Mr. Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee affirmed that investing in Binh Dinh, Italian businesses and investors would be given and supplied every advantage to successfully and sustainably set up and operate the project.

At the meeting, representatives of Italian businesses introduced their strong fields and industries such as new technology, energy, telecommunications, AI, project consulting… and introduced a number of programs and conditions to provide finance for start-up projects. Italian businesses hope to seek and cooperate with Binh Dinh Provincial businesses and enterprises to execute projects in the near future.

In further discussion with Italian investors, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee showed that the above Italian fields and industries were currently in great need in Vietnam in general and in Binh Dinh Province in particular. These fields and industries would have much potential for development in coming time. Mr. Chairman hoped that more Italian investors would come, search and know more about Binh Dinh Provincial specific conditions to make appropriate decisions and soon have investment projects in the Province to attract more investors to Binh Dinh.
